A different work based on the same picture of our local waste incinerator as used previously. I'm pleased with how this one turned out. My photo, Filter Forge and photoshop. About 3 hours work.

I admire people who compose complex images. I haven't the imagination to do that. I prefer just seeing what I find as I go along. Sometimes it's fast and sometimes long.

That's all I do, too - working intuitively.... just, as I get a basic grasp of more and more programmes I'm able to combine them in more and more ways...

I'm already finding it hard to stay up as late as I used to... not wanting to wish my life away, but the thought of being retired does have its good points...

In France we are allowed to retire at 60. That is until now. The government is changing that. It's very unfair treatment of those who started working young or who have difficult or tiring jobs. As you may know, some years ago people died often only a short time after retiring. Almost everyone develops an illness after that age.
What is so stupid is that older people are sacked at 55 and can never find another job. Also young people are out of work and women often don't have a full career.
Of course the reason is that they want people to retire without a full pension and that's what will happen.

They say we shall all grow older with good health. I can't see very much truth in that. Unlike old people now, younger people grew up with polluted foods and now there are so many who are obese and will develop all sorts of illness like diabetes and blood pressure.

Yes... the outlook is not good! I hope to have some private pension money and a good relationship with my children...
